By the end of this year, all US manufacturers will need to update their ring designs to reflect the new requirements.
But, the latest update, released by the US Office of Personnel Management, makes it clear that the new standards will not affect just your ring, but also your credit cards, your personal items and even your home.
“As of April 2021, the Office of the Chief Financial Officer (OCFO) and the Office Financial Management Service (OFMS) have issued guidance clarifying the requirements for the issuance of personalized ring designs,” reads the document.
“These include the design of the inscription, the size and color of the engraved decoration, the style of the decoration, and whether the ornament is a limited edition, permanent, or limited-edition ring.”
If you’re wondering what you can buy with a custom ring, here’s what you need to know.
The design of your engraved ring will determine whether it’s limited edition or permanent.
If it’s a limited- edition ring, you’ll get a stamp that looks like a postage stamp.
The stamp will cost $12.
If you buy a permanent ring, the stamp will be $20.
The design of an engraved ring is not necessarily the same as the design on your credit card or personal items.
For example, a design for a stamp is a stamp and the stamp is the same color as the engraved design on a credit card.
You’ll have to check with your card issuer to find out what they call the unique stamp on the card.
But the best part about the update is that it doesn’t require any additional documentation or documentation that may be required for other personal items, like a home, car or other possessions.
And if you don’t have the stamp, there’s no reason you can’t just keep your ring and get on with life.
